Where it Began

Ron Prosser was a first-generation builder who started with a small joinery shed on Beach Road in Bunbury. He developed this further when he opened a large sawmill on Strickland Street. Ron eventually turned his attention to home building, founding Ausden + Prosser Builders which later became Prosser Homes. So for the Prosser family, our connection to the South West stretches back more than 80 years.

Building on the Foundation

Steve Prosser was proud to build on the work his father had started. He grew the well-respected Prosser brand, taking on Prosser Homes who were prominent “off the plan” home builders. Over time Steve transitioned to R+M Prosser + Son and stepped into commercial development.

Modern Innovation

Dave Prosser is a third-generation builder proud to be following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He recalls visiting building sites and helping his dad at the joinery workshop when he was only 12 years old. Dave went on to complete his Trade Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery, as well as his Builders’ License and Registration.

Prosser Built Homes is now a boutique design and construct company servicing the South West. Dave is dedicated to creating bespoke homes that stand out from others. He seeks to reinforce a personal level of service and high-quality construction by taking on a limited number of projects each year. This will ensure he can give his undivided attention to every client.

Dave’s interest in building blossomed from his childhood experiences of assisting his father at the joinery workshop and local building sites. This passion drove him to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, ultimately obtaining his carpentry and joinery trade certification as well as his builder’s registration. Dave dedicated several years to working with a Tier 2 commercial builder in Perth, where he contributed to large-scale commercial construction projects. Additionally, he gained valuable experience by working overseas in Oslo, Norway, specifically on the new Nasjonalmusee. During his time there, Dave acquired extensive knowledge in construction management, contract administration, and technical building expertise, all of which he now integrates into his current projects. Calling Ferguson Valley home, he carries on the family’s 80+ year legacy in the building industry through his company, Prosser Built.

Jaye is an exemplary craftsman, a tradesman who possesses an eternal commitment to quality. With a remarkable dedication to each build, Jaye sets an exceptionally high standard for the team, drawing from his extensive expertise in high-end finishing. As a local resident of Witchcliffe, he can often be found indulging in bouldering when he’s not meticulously adding bespoke touches to the finest hardwoods. Jaye collaborates closely with his team on a daily basis, carefully planning each step to ensure the successful execution of every project
